The Heidelberg Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association hosted a "Pastries for Parents" event Jan. 14. The focus of the session was how modern communication media is taking an even larger role in the lives of now's student. While most parents remember chatting with their friends on their house phone, now's student is liable to have a cell phone and access to one or more computers. Their world consists of instant messaging, online making a bet, webcams and sites like Facebook and MySpace.
