IF the phone is truly unlocked then your prepaid sim from att should work in it. YOu may have too tell it to find the att data networks but that is abou tit

If the phone you want to use is already unlocked and the SIM card you are going to use is from a GSM carrier, then you shouldn’t have a conundrum.

Sure it’ll work , but the most economical way which i would suggest is buy a locked phone and unlock it by codes, for instance i bought a nokia 7210 and unlocked it free with http://www.unlock-free.com/nokia/

This is really the only house everywhere you consistently see your wallpaper. The other seats include whenever you change your wallpaper (see next picture) and whenever you make or receive a phone call with a contact with which you’ve associated a picture.
I paid to have my cell unlocked & I just want to make sure it is done.
I do not mean that key lock is on!
What I am asking is how do you tell if your phone is unlocked to use with different carriers? & different sim cards?
Answer by Skull
If you can use it it is unlocked. If you can’t then it is locked. DUH!!

There are a digit of ways.
Try by a different carrier’s SIM. If it works, your phone is unlocked to use on any network.
If you bought the phone on a network plot, chances are it has been locked to the network. Check with the store you bought from. They should be able to tell. Most pre-paid phones are locked pending certain situation. Some post-paid phones are now unlocked, as you are already in a binding contract, so whether you use their service or now makes no difference.

usually you can have your phone unlocked for FREE if you’ve been with your service provider for a certain time. If your phone is unlocked, then it should work with other network. You can test it by by a differrent SIM card, for example if you’re by Tmobile then try a Cingular or Sprint SIM.
