If I buy a used cell phone off the internet, will Verizon program it so I can use it with my number?

As long as its a Verizon phone, you can use your SIM card to use your Verizon digit.

take the battery out of the ancient phone (if from Verizon as well), charge the new battery, and dial *228 and select option 1

I recently broke my cell phone and have no insurance and I am not up for an upgrade. Export the phones at retail price is outrageous. So I am trying to find somewhere to buy used/refurbished phones at a decent price. Any suggestions? I have AT&T and I live in Akron Ohio.

i would try ebay. there’s thousands listed and you can get them at a honest price. i’ve bought phones off there for myself.
