Does anyone know what cell phone serivce providers you can transfer to other providers?

I am interested in learning if anyone knows if you can transfer a cell phone from one service provider to another specifically. IE: I have At&t service. Which cell phones can I trasfter to my serivce that will be compatible with my current At&t service plan? I am looking for a complete list of each provider and which phones are compatible.

T-mobile phones work any sim cards provider. The phones have to be unlocked. Any Sim card phone. Choose Me! LOL!
