im not familiar with verizon but i know that if your phone has a sim card you can just take the sim card out (usually behind the batterie in the back of your phone) and change it into an unlocked phone.
if the cell phone company doesnt have sim cards then your gonna have to go for the contract and talk to the company.

Keep in mind that when you buy a phone without the plot, you don’t get the special promotions. For example, buy a certain phone for $ 49.99 with 2 year activation. Or some carriers even have “upgrade” times. For example, Sprint allows you to upgrade a phone each year and pay “promotion” price. Outside of that, you pay full price for the phone.
Now, when you do buy a phone, have your friend call customer service and question for an “ESN swap”. That means, Equipment Serial Digit swap. That’s it. simple enough.

There are two ways to get phones

a) Get an UNLOCKED phone from anywhere they sell unlocked phones. You just pay for the phone and you use it with your unfilled provider.

b) You get a Free or cheaper phone from your provider (say Verizon) but you have to get or extend a contract for 2 being

I have a current contract with Sprint which renews your contract anytime you add something to the plot. Even getting a new plot renews the contract for two being. I’d rather not have a two-year commitment because I’ve found cheaper plans with other carriers. When my two being are up I am changing carriers.

So…read the fine print with Verizon.

My wife and I just call each other, two phones, no texting or anything like like that. A month, we use about 120 minutes total. Right now, we’ve got this dreadful plot from Tmobile that charges us $ 60/month. We also both need new phones.

Is there a company that will:
1. Give us a plot for $ 30 or less per month?
2. Give us new phones when we renew our contract in October?
3. Let us keep our phone facts?

Thanks in enhancement.

I like at&t. I have 3 phones, and pay 85 dollars a month. What I like about at&t, as long you call a at&t cell pnone no minutes are charged. Saving alot of minutes. Verizon has the same plot but phone to phone, you get 1000 free minute . But what ever minutes you don’t use with at&t, you keep those minutes for 1 yr. it will be alittle more than 30 dollars for 2 phones. depends everywhere you live. You should be able to keep the same phone, as long no one else has it with the new company
