How can I extend the battery life on my LG cell phone?

Lately it seems to run out nearly immediately after any call over 10 min. Should I just pay the $ 50 for a new one?

after this point, there is no return. It is best to buy the new one because there is no way you can extended it because you have already killed most of the Lithuim Ion energy producing molecules which is causing this conundrum. Once you get a new battery, ALWAYs keep it on, if you turn it off it detoirates the battery life and it will eventually end up everywhere you are right now..

id buy a new battery then let it die completely first then do that each so often it saves cell life.

u cant make it last longer but if the battery dies the life of it goes down. so if ur battery is very low just shut off ur fone b4 it dies. thats all u can do

Batteries get run out when you charge them unnecessarily very often.So the next time you charge it charge it fully and also you can disable some features in your mobile like the clock etc to avoid battery discharging too ahead of schedule.Or if the conundrum continues buy a new one but this time of some other manufacturer.Hope this helps…

i tend to find the more u charge it without letting it completely go dead runs the batteryl ife down more. let it die all the way and then charge it up,tell ur friends and family that the phone will be out of service for some time for u to charge it up before u do.

i just got a new cell phone: LG enV touch. now i wanna do this right. What must I do in order to make sure the battery lasts a long time? I’ve heard all sorts of things and I’m not sure what/who’s right.

phone uses a lithium battery.
i was told to charge it naturally (charge when low, if in rush, ok to under charge) and completely charge it and completely discharge it once a month to “calibrate” the battery.
I’ve also been told that charging and completely and discharging it completely decreases battery life span.
and that Over charging is terrible…right?

what exactly should i do? what exactly should i not do?

The longer you have your battery connected to the wall it limits your recharge cycles for the future. Try to get full charges and defer from overnight charging
