what are those cell phones that you by at walmart and stuff that aren't woking with cellphone companies?

I’m only 16 so i can’t sign a contract with mobile companies such as At&t, verizon, or sprint. But i’ve heard of this cellphones that you buy from walmart or something and you need to byu minute card inorder to use the cellophone?
is that right? if yes, everywhere can i find those phones?

You can get them at Wal Mart or even gas stations. A lotof the companies, such as T-Mobile and Verizon, offer prepaid phones. You are still supposed to be 18, but it is certainly simple to get around that since you activate it over the phone or online and do not show identification.

You then buy cards when your account is running low, to add more funding.

Prepaid accounts are more expensive than traditional accounts, but you also do not have to enter a contract, and there are no worries about overages.

You can get prepaid T-Mobile cells at Target. They have a couple of different plans to choose from, including “Pay by the Day”. You pay $ 1 a day, only on the days you use the phone. That includes unlimited calls to T-Mobile facts at any time, and unlimited calls to other networks between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Calls to facts that are not on the T-Mobile network between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and text messages cost extra.

I reckon we texted co-worker Mark a picture of us having fun, because he didn’t come.

BACKSTORY: So I went to a small party at my co-worker Pam’s house. I reckon this is the first time I ever went to a party hosted by a co-worker. I usually don’t mix business and pleasure, and typically consider it a conflit of interest. But Pam is really cool. Unfortunately, she went to St. Louis shortly thereafter!

I am asking because I took my daughter to the park this afternoon and each single swing (6 total) were being sat in by teen-aged girls texting on their cell phones. My daughter really wanted to swing, but they sat over there the entire time I was there. (2 hours total) It really chapped my butt that they didn’t go the entire time. Perhaps I should have said something to them….

I sometimes take my small girl to the playground to find it occupied by teenagers, too. It’s not honest, but I estimate they still consider themselves “kids” or something.

It could just be that they’re following the stereotype and example set out by other girls like them. I’m fifteen, and when I go to a park with friends or take my small brothers, I prefer to sit on the bench, or in the grass. I text sometimes, but usually my boyfriend is with me, so there’s no reason to. My point is, it’s not all girls that do that. If I were a mother and my daughter wanted to swing but preppy small teenage girls were hogging them, I would have gone over and told them that she wanted to swing. I reckon you should have certainly said something to them, and you should if it happens again.
