Q&A: How can i use my cell phone as a modem?

Casio G’zOne phone on Verizon wireless EV-DO network. I have not bought the phone as yet. I am looking for a solution to an infrequent need. I currently have a Motorola E815 that works fine in the role of Phone and part-time modem but it is on its last legs.

yes, you need the office kit.(usb data cable and drivers)

After irconizes it. go to start/control pannel/ networkconnectios/creat new connection then click next, then check or tick connect to the internet. then choose set up my connection manualy. then connect useing dail up modem. next the you should see your modem (be the brand of phone should be in the list tick that, untick everything eslse click next.. name this connection click next.

I place my phone down in the fridge while I grabbed the mashed potatoes. Then I sorta left it there. It was in the fridge all day. It’s the Casio Exilim phone, which is water proof and shock proof, and that’s awesome, but I will always find a way Well, now it squeaks when I flip it open. Can I use WD-40, or any additional suggestions. (additional than not leaving my cell phone in the refrigerator)

WD-40 and electronics do not mix. Give it a while to stop squeaking by itself. If that fails, very carefully oil the hinge with 3 in 1 or Wesson oil, one drop at a time and wipe off any excess.

I apologize for the weak audio. This record was filmed using my Cell Phone and I had it set to the highest available record resolution (which is 320p) but I hadn’t the slightest clue that the audio really was that weak. These videos all sounded so much louder while listening to them on the Cell Phone. Record Audio Correction software costs too much and I am too worried to seek out a free download of such software online because I have Windows XP and I dread that I might catch a nasty virus if I try downloading software for free. If you have Windows XP or Windows 7, just access the master volume panel and increase the volume in order to view this record and then, after you’re done viewing this record, restore your computer’s volume levels to where it was before. By the way, just to warn you ahead of time, do NOT trust the Closed-Captions for this record. The audio is so weak that many of the words get misinterpreted by the system. The best business to do is just turn the volume on your system up very loud before viewing this record.
