Q&A: Cell Phone?

Q&A: Cell Phone?

I have a couple of Cingular cell phones and when I remove the batteries out of both of them, I see a paper dot on the back of the phone. The dot looks like the the left over dot of paper when you hole-punch papers. What do persons dots mean? On one phone, the paper dot is white and on the cell phone the paper dot is yellow. Why are they different colors? Are they used to distinguish different phone types, brands, etc? I am just curious…

If you were to try to call Cingular to get a new phone due to hurt to your phone, they won’t replace the phone for free if there is water hurt. The dot will exchange color if there is water hurt – white earnings no hurt, yellow earnings very small water hurt, red earnings alot of water hurt. Hope this helps.

Answer by Taz
no, they have special software inside of them that allows the minutes to be deducted as you use them. Excellent question though
