If you go to the FTC website, they describe the ways you can report a caller.
But, also ensure that the call really does go against the terms of the do not call list (for instance, charities, companies with whom you have an existing relationship or companies to whom you have agreed a waiver, for instance by leaving a box on a web form checked when you registered for something, can all legitimately call you despite you life on the do not call list)

Do we have to register our cell phone number with the do not call list ???
Answer by Dark Moon Princess
I may go ahead and do that to be safe. My mom has been getting some telemarketer calls on her cell phone lately!

The huge advertising coming to cell phones is over the web or data network. Normally your service provider will allow telemarketers to call your mobile number if you have signed a contract in exchange for enhanced services (like boundless record mail or stuff like that)

Yes they can! They do it to me and it makes me really mad so place your cell on the national do not call list its really simple just type in national do not call list in google. Or you can just not answer.

Yup. Like i reckon Verizon sold all their numbers to companys and telemarketers because I get at least 6 call a day from 1800 numbers

You usually do not need to register your cell with the Do Not Call List…unless you have a GSM Carrier like Cingular/ATT or T-Mobile. GSM Carriers are permitted to treat cell phones like home phones and provide companies with your cell phone number. Verizon Wireless & Sprint (and additional similar, non SIM card networks) are not going to and are not allowed to sell or reallocate your cell phone number. Also, remember that if you give your cell phone number to a company, like a credit card, but you don’t pay that credit company…not only will they start to call you…all of the additional telemarketers that they sell your number to can call you…because once you don’t pay a company..;.they have the right to sell your number….so in turn if this happens you can have any carrier and encounter this conundrum.
