Q&A: How old should a kid be to get their first cell phone?

I am 13 and going into 8th grade next year, I really want a cell phone to contact my buddies. I am getting the “BLACKBERRY PEARL – BLUE”

I reckon 14-16 is a excellent age…

I reckon you need a cell phone in middle school because u may need to contact parents to stay after school or in case of emergencies. I had a cell phone but a car ran over it.

I judge 7 or 8 thats when i got mine I’m now 16.. most of my cousisn got it around the smae age

well i can’t say much considering i had one when i was 7, so i would say about 11, depending on if they are active in sports and on the go alot (me) i was never home because of dance and my mom didn’t feel safe with me out like that. hope this helps, and excellent luck ♥
