what is the best cell phone as far as reception and clarity, not all the bells and whistles?

Its not so much the phone but the service provide. Verizon is the best.

A nokia flat screen. most of my friends have flip-phones. the reception is much better on a stout screen.

i have worked in the industry for years – both at the top and bottom – the best service provider depends on where u live. All phones have same amount of wattage so none have more ‘power’ than any additional. The type of phone is a different tale – reliability in my experience is nokia – they have the best lowest ratio of repair by far.

But to answer your question, what is a excellent choice in cell phone? That really depends on who your cell phone carrier is because different carriers offer different phones. If available, I would chose the most basic Nokia. If not, chose something simple for you to operate and make sure you have an simple exchange policy that you are very apparent on. In addition be sure you are apparent on the warranty policy and add the additional insurance if it appears reasonable.

depending on where you will travel. Cricket or verizon. I snow board al ot so I travel all over CO. But ilive in CA so I always use my friends cell. You can check out the map coverage on whichover phone you are considering.
