If a new cell phone is used before I charge it will the battery die quicker?

Just bought an LG (revol) and used it right after I left the store.

YES its terrible to do that bcuz they dont have them charged all the way atthe store and u have to “train” the batteries (they told me) to last longer by charging it b4 u use it. this will “train” the phone

You know how much I like cell phones!

Here is my Motorola MicroTAC Select 2000e

This ancient baby still works! I place my SIM into a credit-card sized adapter and slid it into the phone. Powered it on and made a call. It’s reasonably heavy and very huge. The sound quality was really reasonably excellent in and out. And the ringer is that classic super loud monophonic beeper.

It’s about the size of a modern cordless portable telephone — and really a bit more heavy. Due to the fact it is single-band 1900Mhz, reception won’t be so fantastic on my Network — but it would still work perfectly on T-Mobile USA as they only use that band.

The interface just sucks — only a two line show and everything is a question. End call? Dial? Store? To see the batter life you have to push Arrow-4 as there is no indicator to show you how much is remaining!

How far we have come.

I am reasonably sure this was the first GSM phone unrestricted in the USA. According to the FCC website, the FCC granted a license for this phone on 11/04/1996.

Oh, and according to this recent posting I can still get insurance for it through Cingular! What would I get if I lost it? What would they replace it with?

im in china and i wanna buy a cell phone from a cell phone store and use it in canada but my dad is telling me that if i bring it to canada, i can’t charge it because something in canada is around 150 while china is like 220 and i have no clue what persons numbers are for. if i get a GSM phone from china would it work in canada?

Answer by brook_6
he is referring to the voltage [electricity from wall when you plug in charger]

if the phone is a model available in Canada, but cheaper in China, you can buy the charger/adapter when you get back home

if the phone has a car charger or you can get Canadian voltage adapter back home or online, that might work

there is no way anyone can guarantee it will work in Canada

Answer by Tapan S
I suggest you to buy a quad-band (GSM 850,900,1800 &1900) cell phone from China. Most of the chargers are now world travel charger. Just look at the charger if it says,
input: 100-240 V – 50/60HZ, then it is excellent for Canada.
