Which cell phone service provider is best in Chicago?
I’ll be moving to Chicago on July 1 and am considering switching cell phone providers. I currently have Verizon and am pleased but it’s $ 80/mo. I want to make sure I get excellent coverage all over the Maywood area (W. Chicago) as well as downtown and not pay too much. I also want to roam in the 50 states and have excellent coverage in most huge cities like LA, NY, DC, SF, Denver. I’d like to pay around $ 45/mo. and get at least 500 minutes. Any feedback you have regarding your current plot or what you’ve heard from your friends would be greatly appreciated!
Please provide me with some details about your plot. I don’t want you to just tell me which plot you have. Thank you!

My past 2 phones have been Sony Ericssons’. I like Sony Ericsson phones do to their gorgeous color screens and wonderfully laid out buttons and menus. Now I can’t find any cell phone carrier that will sell this wonderful brand. WHY?????
***** Currently Cingular ( the new att), only carries one Sony Ericsson phone, the w300. Not one of the better/more advanced Sony Ericsson phones
Answer by MoRHS2001
Ummm Cingular uses them. I worked at Radio Lean-to and we carried them all the time. They are the only carrier i reckon tho that has them. I know sprint doesn’t and im sure verizon doesn’t any. Not sure about tmobile tho.
Answer by CMass Stan
Ah, welcome to the United States cell market, where the service provider, not the phone manufacturer, is king. Unless the provider has a excellent working relationship w/ the manufacturer, forget it.
Maybe Apple’s iPhone might exchange the equation for the Sony Ericssons of the world. Just not straight away.
