How to get my mom to get me a cell phone?

I know I am only thirteen, but it’s very tempting to have a cell when EVERYONE has one. I see 4 year olds have one and they’re for protection. Then how come my mom won’t get me one and I am way older and more vulnerable at this age?! She says that I have to wait till I get a job or I am 17. Wow. I can’t wait four years! All my friends have one and they can’t contact me. I need one for more reasons than that, though. I need it for protection and I am tired of borrowing people’s for rides. What if I get lost? Everyone in my family has one. Well, my sister, who is only 15, has one. My brothers and mom have them too. Not fair. How can I convince her to get me one? We already have AT&T and unlimited texting. I want the LG CF360, since that is reasonable for a starter phone. I don’t wait a prepraid one, either. Thanks.

Tell your mom its only 10$ additional for a phone line with At&t family plan.

you need the phone for emergencies. to contact them when you are leaving from a friends house or when you get there. if you get lost then they can contact you. does your sister have a job? because if she doesn’t that is not fair to you if she did not get a job before she got her phone.

that pretty much worked for me..but if your mom’s like mine, try to gather as much info about the phone you can, so you can show your mom your responsible and smart enough to get a phone
Plus, for AT&T it’s only 10$ to add a line.

the way i got my phone is by cleaning the kitchen every night after dinner. it’s a little bit of work but totally worth it. just tell her you will do work every day until the phone is paid off. It worked for me. I don’t reccomend making the kitchen commitment. Try doin laundry or something!LOL

I like the LG Shine personally. It has a nice 2.2″ display screen on the front and it has a 2 MP camera. The Shine has lots of different call options like call divert and call barring and has an easy to use menu for quickly navigating the phones many options.
