Can you disable the camera on a mobile phone?

Can you disable the camera on a mobile phone?

I want to get a new mobile phone but the choices are very limited on persons that do not have a camera. Is there any way at all to disable the camera on any of the mobile phones out there that do have one? My job does not allow an employee to bring a camera on the premises, even if you can bring your mobile phone. Thanks!
Rockingorangejuice,
As I mentioned in my question, the choices are very limited with my carrier and I DON’T like the 3 that they do have. I would prefer to get a LG Chocolate or Motorola Krazr.
Thanks BobW. I was worried that’d be the case…..
Thanks ZiggyZeox! That sounds gifted. I’ll check into it!

You cannot disable the camera on a phone.

I hear you. This has gotten hard. Many places which allow phones don’t allow cameras and there just aren’t that many camera-free phones out there any more. (Reckon jury duty: sitting around for hours and having your phone confiscated because it has a camera you weren’t plotting to use.)

I reckon the answer is pretty much “no”. If you can disable a camera outside the gate, you can re-enable it inside the gate. You’d have to physically break the lens and show it to the guard at your workplace.

The Sony Ericsson W950i is a pretty clean way to go. It’s one of the latest phones out, and has lots of features – for the music and business user alike. The best business is it’s fantastic for you because it’s one of the the few phones that doesn’t sport a camera at all. It’s a bit expensive, but a excellent choice in your situation. The 4 gig memory isn’t a terrible investment any ;) .

Nokia N86 has an 8mp camera that take fantastic photos

It really depends on the Carrier you are with. The top of the line phones are around 8. mega pixels on the Droid X and some models of the HTC Android phones. If your in the market for a phone I would recommend visiting our site in the source field below.

Avoid the iPhones, the cameras on persons are not it’s strongest feature. The Sony Ericsson cameras are pretty excellent as they usually have he Carl Zeiss optics which Sony use in their digital cameras.

Now there are a few phones with around 10MP, but don’t expect them to be on a par with a 10MP digital camera. I find even the best camera phones can’t compete with an average digital camera especially when the light is not bright or the subject is not completely still!

The Nokia N8 is the best Symbian device including 2 megapixel camera with xenon flash and 720p HD record recording capability, a excellent music player with both FM receiver and transmitter capabilities
