Why is AT&T and Verison Wireless cell phone providers going against each other so hard.?

They don’t compare each other to T-Mobile and Sprint the other wireless cell phone providers. From what I hear they are having problems just trying to keep up the demands of their own customers. At least AT&T.

Answer by kd_bandit13
because there are the biggest ones and they want to steal each others loyal customers

T-Mobile and Sprint are minor players. AT&T and Verizon are the big guns and they’re always going to be at each others’ throat.

B/c T-Mobile is not their competition!
They are eachothers competition.
They are the longest running companies I think too so they are reliable.
They just had price wars and dropped their unlimited calling to match prices $ 69

I dont know and I really dont Care, I have tmobile and it may not be the biggest but it works for me, has the best prices hands down no matter what anyone says. If you’re with AT&T you’re gonna be paying a whole lot more a month for one line than u will with tmobile.

I have great coverage, RARELY dropped calls….The only time I have ever had a dropped call was in a basement of a big building, not my home or anything like that.

verizon wireless and AT&T are the biggest contract phone carriers. they have the largest networks in the USA. those two are considered primary carriers. all other carriers are considered secondary carriers due to having a smaller coverage map. like t-mobile and sprint, there coverage maps are much smaller and can’t compare at all.

My contract with Verizon ends tomorrow and I am switching to AT&T

Answer by ranfot
just call att ant tell them you want their service and wanna keep the number, they will take care of everything

Answer by prettyprettypea
Just go to any AT&T store or order a phone online. After you get service you can port your number order. Whatever you do, do not cancel your Verizon service. You will lose your number. Once you have AT&T port your number to your new phone it will automatically cancel your Verizon service.

Answer by Anna
You still can keep your old number, when i used to have atnt and switched to verizon (which is way better) they asked if i wanted my old number i chose not too…..

The process your looking to start is Porting, you need to either go into an att store, or call att customer service. Have one of your bills from your previous provider stating your account number on it. Making sure your lines are active at the time of the porting process. It can take up to 5 hours for the porting process to completely finish. If your calling customer service, ask to speak with they’re PAC team.
