As of Thanksgiving 2010, are there any verizon cell phones that have touch screens and DON'T require internet?

I’d like to be able to text with the touch screen, but without having to pay extra for internet. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hello,
You never have to get any of the features on a phone. You pay for as much special features as you want, even texting!

I don’t know why, but somehow it seems surprising to me that nuns in an ancient city like Rome would be talking on a cell phone. There’s obviously nothing incorrect about it … but still …
