Are cell phone apps free to use?

I’m thinking about purchasing the Motorola Backflip. It is an andriod phone so you can download apps for free. Though, I was wondering if you have to pay to use these apps after you download them. Also, do u need internet access to use apps? I’m sorry I’m not very tech-savy, so these questions might seem stupid. Delight help me. Also, any reviews you might have of the Backflip phone would be helpful. Thank You!

It depends on the app. Some are free, some are not. All apps require internet access for the initial download. Most connect to the internet for use, updates, etc. Some do not. It all the depends on what the app is.

I have not seen any android apps that require a monthly subscriptions, or a per use fee. If it’s a paid app, you pay a one time fee and it’s yours.
