I just droped my cell battery in the pool. What mesures do i need to take to save it. I don’t want to place it in my phone too soon.
Answer by jimmyphoneking
take out battery any covers you have slap in the hot press all night
Answer by sarah
let it dry out 4 up to 24 hours
Answer by cellphonefan
keep it out for awhile. Take your battery inside and dry it off with a towel. Then take a blow dryer and apply it to the battery for a few minutes to ensure its dry. If you still don’t believe its dry after that, then let it sit in a dry house for a couple hours then try.
Hope this helps

Don’t energize it by any means! The only thing you can do is dry it in the sun, a sunny window let’s say for a few days and then try it. My husband (who owns a swimming pool company) says it’s a 50-50 shot. Excellent luck!

take the battery out and place it in a bowl with dry white rice over night. it works and i know this for a fact. my brothers phone went through the wash and we did that and it worked the next morning.

I want to buy a extra battery for my cell phone..and charge it, to bring with on extended trips everywhere i cant charge my phone at all. So that when my phone dies..i can pop then new charged battery in it. Will this work? Or will the battery drain not being in a phone? Thanks!
Answer by tavenger5
yes, but all batteries will lose charge over time. It depends on how long you leave the battery out of the phone.
Answer by ?
It may drain a small but it should be very close to fully charged if not fully charged
Answer by Rudy
depending on the type of battery they will hold a charge for a long time. Current cell phones use Li-po or li-ion batteries. They will loss a small quantity of change each day, about 1-5% at most.
So if you would to change the battery to day before your trip it would hold a change for at least a month no conundrum.
