Would it be better to buy a new cell phone online or at the store?

Alltel gave me this piece of crap phone as an ‘upgrade’. I really really hate and it’s terrible to text on. I want to buy a new one, and I am pretty sure my contract expired either today or yesterday. So would it be better to go to the Alltel store and buy one, or buy one online? I don’t know how reliable phones that you get online are..
And is there much of a price difference between phones you buy online (amazon, ebay) and the ones in stores?

Even though they are less expensive online you should get it at the store because if the one you order online has something wrong with it or isn’t what you exspected than you will have to pay even more money to either return it for something else or buy a new at the store….. So i would have to say that you should buy it at the store just to be on the safe side if you are going to invest that much money into something.

The store will have less of a variety of phones, because they can’t keep a lot in stock.

I’m usure about the quality difference, because I got my phone online, and shipped here, and it’s great, and there is nothing wrong with it.

the choice is yours whether you buy in store or online, i got my quickfire online and paid 29.00 for it while in store it was 149.00. it works, fine also still have factory warranty and device warranty. there is a wider selection online though.

Do you know any websites with great prices… I am not from america but i like a cool cell phone i am from the caribbean so i have to buy it online and get it ship to me
