Senior Citizen Cell Phones?

Senior Citizen Cell Phones?

Is there some reason why the cell phone manufacturers can’t take the hint and make larger cell phones, with louder ring tones, larger keypads for simpler texting (yeah, I text!). I have arthritis, and I despise the earpiece on my phone (it’s flat) and hard to hear out of.

We need some basics, no video stuff, just a excellent solid phone for all of us!
I’ve heard of the Jitterbug but has no texting capabilities, which I need with my daughter (i.e., when she’s in class and I need to pick her up). Hope they will up-grade
I just wrote an EMail to the LG people (phones) and let them know what we all thought!

that is a wonderful thought. Not everybody desires those cute small phones.

I so agree, my fingers by hit more than one digit and I end up with a huge mess in trying to dial. I don’t need like stuff, just something that works and I can see the dang thing!

I agree and was just talking about this now with a friend of mine.

I don’t know anyone who has one, but I’ve seen the ads aimed at Seniors for the Jitterbug phones. They say the facts are larger and they don’t have all those features you don’t need.

My cell phone is still rather huge and has the antenna, it’s the only one that will pick up everywhere we live. It’s about had it, we were talking about me needing a new one, but there’s no use getting one if the reception is no excellent and I don’t want all those extra features I don’t use.

Well, there is the Jitterbug, which is primarily for emergencies. It’s large, with a large keypad, and it’s made expressly for seniors to keep in the automobile.

No promotion here. I’m simply telltale you that the mail order house, First Street, sells them. (And other gadgets designed to make life simpler for seniors.)

it’s called expensive. i’ve seen the phone advertised and it’s just better to get a prepaid phone with a large keypad. if they can work a regular phone, they can work a mobile phone, minus the features and expense.
