Q&A: Does working in a cooler/freezer kill cell phone battery life?

Q&A: Does working in a cooler/freezer kill cell phone battery life?

My boyfriend works in a cooler/freezer at a warehouse. He never parts from his cell phone (says he takes it in there to tell the time). Anyway he is under the impression that simply having the phone in such low temperatures kills the battery life. Even if he hasn’t used it much all day and started work with a full battery. It’s an on going argument between the two of us. He has the Sprint HTC Diamond.
P.S. he wears the phone on his hip.

No, it will not hurt the battery. The phone is in his pocket and gets heat from his body and is not directly exposed to freezing temperatures. Tell BF that batteries are cheap if he needs a spare.

Each once in a while I take pictures when Sarah is shopping for obscure hardware in a computer warehouse store, wearing a tank top that shows off her super-heroes tattoos, and talking to me about our recent trip to Comic-Con….

…it is at these times, when I notice the geeks following us around the store to get a closer look at her. I am then reminded about how many comic book nerds and fellow computer geeks I would have to kill if humans competed for mates like wild animals. I should look into protection.

Hello americans! i’m coming over to orlando in florida soon from the UK and want to buy a cheap mobile phone (cell phone) so that i don’t have to pay massive bills on my british phone!

In the uk we have a shop called ‘carphone warehouse’ which is our best phone shop. What is the USA equivalent of that shop everywhere i can buy an american phone on an american network?

Thanks!

You can buy a cheap pay as you go phone at Wal-mart, they’re all over the house. They have quite a few to choose from too. That’s assuming of course you’re just here for a small period of time.
