Does it cost for Telus cell phone users to text to USA?

I have a friend who currently lives in Canada now, and got a cell phone from Telus with an unlimited text plan. I would like to know if it costs them to text me, who lives in the US.

Yes, it costs an arm and a leg per text…literally!

They can text to the US for free if their phone has a no sim card. If they do have a sim then they will be charged $ 0.20 per message sent.

A Tale of Two Cell Phones

Now I have two cell phones. The one on the left, my HTC P4000, is my personal PDA smart phone. The one on the right, my Blackberry 8830, is my work phone. I do not want to have two cell phones.

Two will go into battle. Only one will survive.

If you’ve used both in the past, what are your opinions of Telus and Rogers cell phone service? I’m talking more about cell service, as opposed to customer service.

I honestly haven’t used either but I’ll tell you what other people have told me (considering you have no answers).

I’ve heard Rogers is a lot more expensive, especially for students. If you’re a student, I would DEFINITELY get Telus. You pay 25 bucks a month for 200 mins PLUS unlimited text & talk to your 8 contacts you choose. That’s a pretty good deal to me.

I wish they had caller ID though that’s the only thing its missing!!

But 50 mins not 200.. It’s kinda confusing too. You get 5 people rather then 8 as well… Telus’ seems better. But damn Rogers has the one cool phone I want.
