why the big differences in cell phone prices?

why the big differences in cell phone prices?

How come cell phone prices vary so much at different sellers? A Samsung Captivate smart phone is advertised at amazon for $ 0.01 but at AT&T they want $ 199 out of pocket. Same two year contract.

your Question is not clear to me.Is it cell phone price or per unit/min call rate?

Answer by The Phone geek
Amazon runs specials like that all the time but for you to get that price at Amazon it is i believe a new line of service on a 2 year contract not an upgrade.

Att is 199 for new customer and 199 for an upgrading customer no price difference.

– "We cut the price, not the cheese" — Reckon about it, lovelies… ^_-;

I’ve looked at net 10, and they are 10 cents a minute, and texting is 5 cents a minute, but i was wondering if there are other prepaid cell phones with better deals. I believe i’ve heard of some who have free nights and weekends, but i’m not sure.

Verizon INpulse because everyone has verizon and verizon to verizon minutes are free. It costs .99 a day only on the days that you use the phone and then .10 a minute to non verizon phones… Fantastic Deal for someone who doesn’t need to use a phone everyday but desires fantastic service!
