What is the best cell phone without a data plan?

Hi, I need a new cell phone, and am on AT&T. I don’t want to pay an additional $ 30 per month for a data plot, but do want the best phone that I can get. What are your opinions?

Buy an unlocked iPhone off eBay… Doesn’t have to be groundbreaking new then slip ur sim into it then Ta-da no data plot & no extension of ur contract…

I am plotting to go to Korea soon and also to Italy. I have a crappy Cricket cell phone so what would be the best phone to take outside the country. Also I want to know some excellent phone plans so I have a better thought of what I want to buy.

I believe any 3G phone that is unlocked will do well. So you can look for whichever one of these then you can get a prepaid sim or if you’re staying their for long sign up with there service and pop their sim in your unlocked 3G phone as long as the service uses sim cards, I reckon this is the best route because its the most versatile/universal. Don’t only go to one shop. There are tons. Prices vary from seats to seats. And if you want question them or a free phone. You only pay for the registration fee and not for the Actual device.
