Which cell phone service has best reception in new orleans???

I am moving to New Orleans (actually river ridge just west of N.O.). Can anyone provide any information concerning the best cell phone provider for service in the area? Please provide any information you have!! thanks in advance!

All of the major services (ATT, T-Mobile, Verison, etc.) are about the same, but there are local variations – such as if you live inside a large apartment building. It’s like that anywhere (not just New Orleans).

ATT (which used to be BellSouth) has the best coverage in rural areas of the state.

What is there to do when you’re in a tiny town’s Best Western on a work trip with no cell phone reception? Take pictures of yourself all pregnant! Here I am at 31 weeks. Joel thinks the belly is starting to look fake, like a prop.

I just moved into a basement apartment and my phone gets no reception. I have t-mobile, and our neighbor said he has sprint and also gets no reception.
What phone could I get to boost my reception? Someone told me the old cheap nokia phones get really good reception. Please help!

I am a bit surprised because I would recommend a GSM phone but I believe T-Mobile uses GSM.

My RAZR is on AT&T and is a GSM phone. I can talk in places others get no signal including metal buildings and basements.

Tell T-Mobile your problem and see if you have a GSM phone. If not ask for a RAZR loaner to check signal strength in your apartment.
