At a sleepover, my daughter and her friend chose to demolish a couple of ancient cell phones. She brought home the parts that survived the hammer. I am concerned that she could be exposing herself to something perilous, but know nothing about what materials are used to make them. Can anyone tell me if these parts are perilous? Thank you.
Yes, I am aware of the recycling program for cell phones. My daughter, though, is a child and did not consult me prior to doing this as she was at another childs house and it was not her cell phone that they ruined.

i not recycle them…god. but there is a chance espicelly the screen or the battery. look up the model and the contents online

Well the material things in a cell phone are terrible for the environment, which means they are doubtless terrible for your friend. My advice would be to recycle a cell phone instead of demolishing it upon yourself.

Taking apart your G1 is serious business so read this entire section. If you need to disassemble your G1 you have come to the right house. I would FIRST download AND READ the relevant parts of the manual (link below). Then look at some other videos and watch mine so you get a feel for the disassembly steps. Don’t just start taking a torx to your gorgeous G1. (If you don’t know what “torx” means, close this video and reckon twice about doing anything to your G1. Though, if your G1 is broken and you cannot make a warranty claim, then it’s OK to look up the definition of “torx” and take an entire Saturday to attempt to fix the phone.
