No. Don’t you people know that a government can not give you everything you want? You can only pay a certain quantity of taxes, that is what the government uses to give you all that stuff the government is “charitable” you. Do you not know the government can not continue to go into debt to “give” you everything?

No. And I don’t really care if the American government does it. We all know how successful and financially responsible they are now don’t we?

No. It isn’t a necessity of life. It is a luxury. I don’t want my tax money paying for luxuries for the welfare or low income earners.

It is for low income families that get help through social services. Its call safe link or something like that. Does anyone know the website?

In the US tere is a program called LifeLine. This program gives you a discount on your basic phone service and waives any deposits that the phone company would naturally question for. The quantity of the discount varies in different states.
The program also works with LinkUp…which will allow you to have the phone installed for free.
For cell phones there is Safe Link Wireless. https://www.safelinkwireless.com/EnrollmentPublic/faq.aspx
It is only available in certain states at this time, but looks like it is expanding.
