Post them on Craigslist…you’d be surprised how many people are looking for phones on there. Try all of your local free classified ads online.

Cell Phones Everywhere

The lady in front of me recording the Police concert with her LG Chocolate cell phone.

I use a LG VX8300 and I did this once by accident and haven’t found out how to do it again. Just wondering if anyone can help me out with this.
not for the alert to be showed on the screen but the actual message
i’mm quite sure that you can do this and there have been other phones that you can do this with

usually when you receive a text, it does it by itself. Have you treid looking the setup menu?

Only specific phones allow you to show text messages on the front show of the phone. Unfortunately the LG vx8300 does not because the front screen is not huge enough. There is no way to make the current 8300 show the contents of your text message.
The vx8000, and 8600 do have this feature.
