I am looking for a new cell phone provider (now have SPRINT). I would like a balance between excellent phone service, customer service, excellent prices and cool phones. Who do you reckon is the best?
Answer by ois_isi sony ericsson – but depends on your requirements
Answer by Gundy It depends on everywhere you live. I live in Chicago and I have Cingular and it’s dreadful. Though, in the suburbs, the quality is outstanding.
Answer by GDude Check http://www.cellreception.com/
Cell phone reception varies greatly even within a few blocks. The best way is to find towers and comments from other people in your neighborhood.

AT&T is my carrier and i’m about to get my upgrade so i was wondering if anyone could recommend me a phone with a flip out keyboard and a excellent camera or link me to any websites to equate cell phones.

I really want a cell phone, but my mom told me to equate prices then she will consider….
Answer by lynnette m Try checking into Alltel, family plot, and then you can add up to 10 different phone facts that are not alltel and it does not use your anytime minutes. We went from an average of 3000 anytime minutes (3 phones) to under 500 anytime minutes.
Answer by Granny Tmobile has an awesome family plot I’ve had it a long time an never had a drop call yet, excellent prices too
Answer by mattied23 First off, I really agree with you on that one. I am 14 and want and need one desperately. But anyway to answer your question. I have heard tons of ads for Disney Mobile. It has got to be the best price out there for cell phone plans. It’s like $ 30.00 for like 1500 family minutes. So if there are 5 people in your family then each person in your family recieves 250 minutes per week. Thats pretty excellent compared to like $ 1500 per year for like 250 family minutes per week from Verizon or Cingular. Plus, with Disney Mobile there are some pretty cool and exclusive features. I forget exactly what they are but you should def. check out the site: disneymobile.com or if not try googling it: Disney Mobile. Hope this helps and Excellent Luck.

Image by -kÇ- After calling the device "the item single-handedly responsible for the erosion of our nation’s social and cultural foundation" for close to a decade, Jason Whiting gave in to social pressures this weekend and bought a cell phone.
The 34-year-ancient bought the Motorola 6620 at the Maple Village Shopping Center.
"I got the simplest, most basic calling plot," Whiting said. "I sure as hell wasn’t going to get one of those phones that takes pictures. To tell you the certainty, I’m not even plotting on charitable out the digit."
Whiting said he was loath to accept the "encroachment of technology" into his personal life, and clarified that he "[does not] plot on becoming one of those people with cell phones."
"This is for emergencies only," he said. "In case my car stalls on the freeway and I need to call for help, or in the event that I absolutely must get in touch with someone but am away from home."

well, i know you can buy phones from there, but if you buy a smartphone from them, do they use their own towers (if they have any), or do they use the cell phone towers from the main carrier that offers the phone. because im thinknig about getting the blackberry set on fire from walmart and i want to know if walmart will use their own towers, or AT&T’s (the main carrier) towers. thanks!
Answer by deseanjackson1010 idk
Answer by Lynn Dale I don’t reckon so
Answer by James Q Of course not. Walmart is in the business of promotion retail not running mobile networks. All Walmart does is sell the phone and the plot-anyone can do that. When your account is activated your carrier will determine which network will be used. And whoever owns the towers determines what carrier puts their antennas on it. pretty much many tower owners tries to get all the carries to place their antennas on it as that means more income for them and to help pay for building the tower in the first house.
Answer by Moishe K No they are a cell phone store not service provider
Answer by Toast No you have to sign a contract with AT&T so it’s AT&T’s towers. Walmart is just a 3rd party.

I know the huge power line towers aren’t excellent to live by, but what about the cell phone/radio towers with the red illumination on them? I am looking at a house that is about .5 miles away from them. Is that still too close? Or is there nothing to worry about in any case? They are 300 ft in height
Answer by Ronald Those cell towers aren’t much more of a concern the the radio in your phone. Both are in commission at pretty low power.
Answer by rahul t what is the height of tower? even approx will do, do answer this to help me answer your question correctly.
Answer by thebeallendall You are right that power shape are a conundrum if located in your neighborhood. Cell towers, on the other hand, are not a concern. The voltage is MUCH lower than power shape. If this tower is for a radio station, though, I would be concerned. If you can’t tell the difference between a radio station tower and a cell phone tower just look in the phone book or question neighbors. Generally, in the US, radio station towers must be a certain distance from residential areas.
Answer by zuma The only danger is up 300ft, if you happen to be there when it’s in use.

More vital than the intensity of electromagnetic radiation emitted at the tower is the strength of the resulting EMF wherever people live and work. What types of prepaid cell phones are there in Spain?
I want to buy a prepaid mobile phone in Spain, I want to buy it with a decent phone though, what are some excellent options? I have seen they have the Phone House here, they have pretty reasonable priced phones with the PREPAGO plot, but I don´t quite know how this plot works, is it a contract plot or is it simply a prepaid card (if it is how come they can give out the phone with a discounted price?) Any help appreciated, thanks!
Answer by JM you can buy a tarjeta prepago, this is a prepaid card, and you can buy a mobile phone with it. This card usually includes 50€ for calling. To recharge it, or top it up, go to any shop of your mobile’s company, or tobacconist’s (estanco),… Phone House is excellent, you can also go to the shops of the mobile companies, Movistar, vodafone, orange, yoigo.

Anyone know how to backup data from HTC Fuze/cell phone to a computer?
I have a HTC Fuze & I’m installing an bring up to date & it says online before I bed in it, I need to either backup all my data onto a Micro SD card (which I don’t have) or onto my computer. How do I back it up on my computer? I don’t want to lose my contacts & pictures, etc…Thanks!
Answer by Booger E Do you have the usb cable to connect it to your computer? If you do, just hook it up(i don’t have an htc so i’m only guessing here) and a popup should come up automatically. Go to open file and view contents(or something like that) and check to be sure everything you want to save is there, then just copy the folder and paste on desktop(or everywhere ever you want to place it).

Thai + BBQ + Bullhorns
Image by Keo 101 Dang, it was GOOD food. Shot this at a hole in the wall house just off the road in a beachside area of Florida. Loved the kitschy corny decor: from the sloppy blue walls to the pet turtle in the murky aquarium by the cash register, to the pair of small ceramic baby angels holding a U.S flag that was hung on the back wall cordoning off the restroom. And corny is excellent because corny often means cheap, which it was. And the grub was fantastic to boot. Serves both Thai food and BBQ. Up in anticipation of this spot, I’d never been to a house that offered both. Or one that kept a turtle by the register.

Hi there! I am getting a new cell, and I am really attracted in the Droid Eris by HTC If anyone has it/has had it, what did you like/not like about it and would you reccommend it to me? I text a lot, pictures/videos, call, and possibly internet. Thank you!
Answer by Nathan I reckon it would work fantastic fie what you need to do on your phone. But I would recommend the Incredible more, now that that’s been unrestricted. It’s just like the Eris, but way better and quicker
Answer by T!ka I have the droid eris and i like it! It took me a bit longer than normal to get used to everything (about 4 days) but after you figure everything out it’s awesome. I’ve heard alot of terrible reviews about it but now that i have my own i can say that i have had no problems with it at all. it frose once but then un-frooze itself within about 15 seconds and never had any other conundrum. once you get used to the texting you get really quick at it. its my first touchscreen/smartphone and i like it. I am keeping this phone til my contract is up, the only way I would replace it is to upgrade to the droid incredible, pretty much the same exact thing the incredible is just a small better (quicker, and has a sparkle on the camera), but the eris is like half the price.
Get the eris or incredible droids are super cool! lol. oh and there are seriously like a million apps.
Answer by Ihatecom it’s a fantastic phone, and it’s much cheaper than other phone that can’t do half of what droid eris does.
