What specific cell does osmosis transfer water to?

Answer by Scott
Osmosis is the wordiness of water across a membrane into the cytoplasm. thats all it is. All cells bring in water though osmosis

Plant cells are capable of responding to touch. One of the steps in the response passageway to touch is an increase in Ca2+ ions in the cytosol of the touched cell. How can touching a single cell lead to a relatively large number of cells exhibiting a response to that touch?
