Can a virgin mobile cell phone call England?

Ok.. Well I plot on getting a virgin mobile pay as you go cell phone, and I live in the United States, and I was wondering if the cell phone can call England. How much would it cost to call someone in England? Would I be able to text to someone in England? Thank you!

I received a call today on my cell phone which I didn’t immediately answer but later returned the call only to get this response, “the number you dialed is no longer a working number”. I made sure that I dialed the exact number that was retained on my cell phone in fact I called it twice and got the same response?

If it was a telemarketer, they use bogus call-back numbers in case you try to do what you tried to do (call them back). Same with some collection agencies. It was probably one of these. I’ve gotten persons, too — especially during the run up to the election.
