Are there any rugged smartphones out there?

Are there any phones out there that are ‘rugged’, meaning they have the black stuff on it that protects it from life broken if dropped.
I have a very rugged phone right now, which is excellent because i tend to drop it a lot… My dad had it first because he worked on construction sites and didn’t want a cheapo phone that would break if dropped, so he got the motorola i305, which came out in 2003, and then he gave it to me when i reached 6th grade in 2005, which was a huge business for me-a cell phone! but now i’m going into 10th grade and STILL have it(it’s practically indestructable!!!! I don’t want to purposefully break it to get a new phone cause my consience wopuld kill me, but i don’t get a new one until it breaks. christmases and my birthday has passed at least 3 times, and still no new phone. any thoughts on how to get a new one i would LIKE?
by the way, i don’t really see a reason to text when you can just talk on the phone, except during school, and you’re not allowed to text during school anyway…
smartphone would be fantastic cause i don’t really use my pda as often as i should and a built in one would be fantastic.
i go with sprint.

Letter From a Grandson

My youngest grandson, Robbie , skilled on the French horn,was accepted for the Marine Band. First, he has to go through the rugged Marine Corps recruit training for 13 weeks. No cell phones allowed, so letters are the only way to communicate. I’m proud of him.

Does Verizon have a cell phone that is more rugged? One for someone who tends to drop and/or break theirs allot?? If so what is it and does any one have one?

um, my phone doesnt break. its from verizon, and once i dropped it down a huge hill and it didnt break. it flipped and stuff, but it didnt break. its kinda sucky the way it looks. its a flip phone. idk whats its called. all i now that its grey.

I worked in construction during the summer…

Most of the guys carry this 2 phones with them. Supplied to them by the company we worked for. They really like it.
