What is a VOIP? And why would anybody need that on a cell phone?

I was very curious about a couple guys, so i researched a little bit, and they have an awful lot in common. esp. phone service.

it stands for: voice over internet protocol, and it interlinks your internet with your phone and you can get cheap calls

the downside? only where internet is available

VOIP – stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol. This allows people to use programs like Skype and it allows you to contact via phone, it is a much much cheaper version than ISD telephone calls.

I have been using truphone which is an excellent VOIP over WiFi solution. They have also introduced a callback option depending on the country where you are in
