prepaid android cell-phone carriers in Edmonton or Fort Saskatchewan?

I am visiting from the US. Are there prepaid android cell phone carriers in the Edmonton or Fort Saskatchewan areas in Canada? If so, please let me know.

Thanks.

If you have your own unlocked Android OS cell phone that uses sim cards and supports the HSPA protocol, you can go with a company like Fido on a prepaid plot.

I want to switch from pocket wireless to boost mobile cause they have really crappy phones. Anyways, I was wondering how can i switch the cell phone companies, but keep the same number. Is their some kinda of fee or anything?

Answer by nativehoney311
Usually they question you if you want to keep your ancient phone number. I just got a phone from T-Mobile and Sprint in the last month and they both questioned me, it was free of charge, unless you owe money on your last phone account, then you have to pay I am pretty sure before you can reconnect your number. If they don’t question you if you want the same number; be self-confident and question.

tell the carrier. there should be just a service. :D

Yes, most likely. You will always have to go to the new provider and tell them you want to port a number. Cellphone to cellphone doesn’t take long, usually you will have it ported the same day. You will have to keep your number active while the porting process takes place!

They will question your account number and the account password that you now have with your current provider and most likely your last four of your SSN. Some providers do charge fees for porting.
