Are there any drop-off places for cell phones that purchase phone cards for soldiers in the Jackson, Mi area?

Try going to or calling the Alltel office. I know they will take phones and donate them to different places but you will have to question them about the phone cards. Maybe they may maybe tell you of some places about the phone cards.

Cingular / AT&T Has a phone for soldiers program, you can drop phones off at corporate supplies only begining July 2nd

Yes soldiers have and use cell phone in Iraq. It can be a expensive though.

Nope. When you see all persons collections for ancient cell phones to send to our boys in the Middle East, they mean they are going to sell the parts so they can give them phone cards to call on a land line.

Yes. My husband had a cell phone during his second tour in 2005. They were still available this last tour, but his mandate wouldn’t allow them.

They aren’t too terrible with cost. It was 25 cents per small for him to call me, but all incoming calls were free. So I just bought a calling card online and called him for 11 cents a small.
