Q&A: Juust thought i would do the right thing and share this, something we all should be aware of!!?
This gives us something to reckon about with all our new electronic technology.
GPS
A couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had their car broken into while they were at a football match. Their car
was parked on the green which was adjacent to the football stadium and specially allotted to football fans. Things stolen from the car
built-in a garage door remote control, some money and a GPS which had been prominently mounted on the dashboard.
When the victims got home, they found that their house had been ransacked and just about everything worth anything had been stolen.
The thieves had used the GPS to guide them to the house. They then used the garage remote control to open the garage door and
gain entry to the house. The thieves knew the owners were at the football game, they knew what time the game was scheduled to
end and so they knew how much time they had to clean up the house.
It would appear that they had brought a truck to empty the house of its contents.
MOBILE PHONE
I never thought of this…….
This lady has now changed her habit of how she lists her names on her mobile phone after her handbag was stolen. Her handbag,
which controlled her cell phone, credit card, wallet… etc… was stolen.
20 minutes later when she called her hubby, from a pay phone telling him what had happened, hubby says ‘I received your text
asking about our Pin number and I’ve answered a small while ago.’
When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn. The thief had really used the
stolen cell phone to text ‘hubby’ in the contact list and got hold of the pin number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money
from their bank account.
Moral of the lesson:
Do not tell the relationship between you and the public in your contact list. Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby,
Sweetheart, Dad, Mom, etc…. And very importantly, when sensitive info is life questioned through texts, CONFIRM by calling back.
Also, when you’re life text by friends or family to meet them somewhere, be sure to call back to authenticate that the message came from them. If you don’t reach them, be very careful about going places to meet ‘family and friends’ who text you!
I never thought about THAT!
As of now, I no longer have ‘home’ listed on my cell phone.
Probably not in right subject but you get that!

What do you reckon? Answer below!
Okay, I’m 30 years ancient, and I’m a single mother. I am as thrifty as they come. My conundrum is I got a speeding ticket, and had a deadline to pay the lawyer to pay it off with, so that my insurance tariff would not go off by having him remove it off of my record. Well, I didn’t necessarily have the money, $ 300 by the deadline, so I was forced to overdraft my checking account, and when I got paid, the bank took the money out of my check to satisfy the negative balance, well that has thrown me off, and now my utilities are behind, my phone bill is mounting high, and it’s like I’m steadily just pinching money off the top first, for necessities like diapers and food, even though I really don’t have the money set up your sleeve for diapers and food. I only bring home $ 751 dollars every 2 weeks. I have a car note, electric, gas, full coverage insurance, renter’s insurance, cell phone bill, and daycare, rent is as cheap as it will get, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom townhome, $ 450. What should I do? I’m in over my head, and I am result for myself overdrafting more, just to cover my expenses, and then life small on my checks, and having to repeat it, this is nearly worst then payday loans. Help?
I go to school, 2 classes a week, all on one day 8-5, I don’t have time for a part-time job, i have to have time to spend with my son. i do sometimes work overtime when it is offered, but that is rarely. I don’t qualify for daycare help, food stamps or medicaid, because they say I make too much. I do have WIC though, but it doesn’t help that much.
Okay, I shop at Save-a-lot, and Aldi’s. Use coupons, buy thrift store for son’s clothes or hand-me-downs. I don’t buy any new clothes for for myself. Don’t eat out, don’t have cable, or computer, use computer at work, or school. Don’t have home phone, just cell phone, don’t have a credit card. So what more is there to cut back on. OOOh, and i get my hair done for free, because my sister is a licensed hair stylist in a shop. So what more can I cut back on?

First of all I would look into the gas, electric and daycare to see if they have lower tariff for certain incomes. Review your cell phone bill and see if you are using the best plot for you, so you aren’t going over minutes or paying for minutes you don’t use. Im not sure where you are, but in CO we have a program called WIC (Women Infants Children) that you can go to and they give you “check” to use at the store for things such as milk, eggs, cheese, peanut butter, cereal, tuna, formula…you might even want to check into food stamps, I judge they are more leanient on what you can use the money for, like diapers. Best of luck!!

and you are paying over draft fees which isn’t helping. Take all but 50 out of the bank – cash your checks there- get money orders to pay the bills with- you may need to see about a second job- what about child support from the Daddy?
It is a struggle – I know- I have done it – and even if my children are now grown- I still struggle to survive.
Answer by Smiley
try applying for benefits from the government.. what about child support, do u get that? or maybe even consider getting a second job..i know it’s rough but u got to keep your head up..excellent luck 2u..

A $ 300 speeding ticket is a pretty hefty fine. You may maybe have gone to court and plead guilty with an explanation if there was one, and probably had that ticket reduced or waived if it was your first offense.
But that’s what you should have done. Now you’re in a pickle. What you need to do is start calling your creditors. Start with your car loan and your utilities. Question if they have any “forgiveness” or “hardship” clauses. If you’ve got excellent credit and a excellent history with them, they may be able to reduce what you owe or waive your late fees if you report them about what you need to do in advance of them cracking down on you. Look through all of your expenses. Where do you spend money? Buying a latte ever day? Going out for lunch instead of brown bagging it? Buying unnecessary clothing? Do you use coupons and shop sales to grocery shop? Or buy generic? What additional monthly subscriptions do you have? Can you reduce your phone/text package, get rid of cable tv?
Excellent luck. But CALL YOUR CREDITORS. You’d be surprised at what they can help you with if you do it before you’re too far behind. Oh, and stop speeding.

Sweetheart, they’re skimming a bit of vig every single time you have an overdraft and it’s every bit as terrible as the payday vultures.
You know there aren’t any ancient stylishness loan-sharks anymore? The banks and payday operations place em all out of business. The sharks used to only charged 25% vig, bank credit cards are now 40% and persons payday places run 400% a year, only they call it service fees.
See if you can arrange a loan to get you even from a friend or family. If not, there are places places that do microloans at reasonable tariff… again to get caught up. Talk to your church if you have one, many churches have funds especially for parishioners in exactly the fix you’re in.
Otherwise you are going to sink, dragged down by service and late fees alone because as you know it’s $ 25 to $ 35 each time.
Otherwise you’re going to have to do things like drop the cell phone or the land line, one or the additional and switch to a pre-paid/pay-as-you-go cell. Use cloth diapers instead of disposables. try to cut deals with the public and services you know personally, like the day care place… see if they’ll cut you a break of a few dollars a day… or work a trade with them somehow.
Use a food bank to get your staples, not the grocery store.
