Looking at 3G cell phones?

I am looking to buy a new phone and many of the phones I have seen are 3G. Here’s the thing: I don’t use the internet on my phone so I don’t want to pay for it. If I get a phone that is 3G.. is the internet optional, or do I still have to flip the bill?

yes the internet will be optional

There are some phones such as the iPhone that the data feature must be on it. Wireless carriers are starting to enforce that with many devices so I would check with your wireless carrier once you have the device picked out that you want.

if you were to purchase lets say an iPhone or Blackberry yes you would have to pay for data which is internet. Any other phone the 3G service is included with your monthly bill.
