How long do cell phone services generally take to turn off?

I’m in a tight financial situation right now and wasn’t able to pay my cell phone bill (Sprint) this month, and I’m getting worried that they’ll turn it off soon. Is it typically 30 days? 90 days? I get paid next week, but if they turn it off before then, I won’t be able to do my job and be in even more of a tight situation.

Answer by Hi HaTeR!
If you call them and make a payment agreement with them they’ll be more likely to keep your phone on. By ignoring their requests for payment and not making contact, in their eyes you’re essentially telling them they aren’t getting their money anytime soon.
I have never had a phone shut off before, but I’ve paid it late and I have Verizon but I got a text message 10 days after due date, and no threats to shut off service until 30 days. The balance was paid after that but I’m sure it would have been shut off sometime within the 2nd month of non-payment.

Teens have already received cell phones to place in the box!

My verizon contract will end by March and I plot to switch to T-mobile. So do I have to alert verizon? Right after the contract end, I should run to T-mobile store to hold plot? I was worried that if I do that online, I have to wait for the shipping of the cell phone to arrive. Basically, step to step of what I should do and know.

Thank you.

Question the provider for it. Once you choose on switching services, there is asite called TMI and they have the best offers online for cell phones. Phones start FREE if you get a new contract or renew….and plus a lot of very cheap single phone deals. Hope this helped dude. check the source.
