Have you used sprint GPS locator service?

Have you used sprint GPS locator service?

I am looking for someone who has actually used sprint GPS locator service under a business plan. My friend was tracked via GPS on her cell phone by her husband during her divorce and I need to know if there’s a way to find out for sure that this occurred and get some kind of proof. I would appreciate any help from someone who has actually had such a plan to tell how someone could find out that they have been tracked.

Sprint Family Locator allows you to locate your loved ones anytime – day or night – for only $ 9.99 a month. Using a single “Parent” mobile handset or the Sprint Family Locator website, easily locate up to 4 Sprint-Nextel handsets and view their location on an interactive map. It was originally designed to give parents the peace of mind to know where their children are.

Sprint Family Locator has a host of privacy and security features:

Permissions: To activate the service, parents and guardians can list up to four phone numbers they want to locate. For additional security, the parent creates a safety word that the parent and child both use only during the registration process to ensure permissions have been granted by both parties. Parents can also give permission to others, such as a grandparent or nanny, to locate a child.

Locate: When a parent or guardian requests the child’s location, Sprint Family Locator uses GPS technology to pinpoint the location and display it on an interactive map, along with the street address and surrounding landmarks, on the parent’s or guardian’s phone or PC. The child is notified by a text message each time his or her location is provided to the parent or guardian, ensuring open communication.

Contact: Once the child is located, the parent or guardian can immediately call or send a text message to the child’s phone.

Safety check: The parents or guardian can set alerts to notify them when the child arrives at a specified location, such as a school, home or a relative’s house at a designated time. For example, a parent or guardian can be notified whether a child has arrived at school by 8:15 a.m. each day.

Reports: Information on recent location requests is provided in text and map form.

Only the Sprint Nextel Account Holder who is financially responsible for your handset can grant permission for Sprint Family Locator to locate your handset. As an extra layer of security, this Account Holder must grant permission from their password-protected MyNextel or MyPCS account. Only persons that the Account Holder authorizes can locate your handset, and only using applications that the Account Holder approves.

You need to have a compatible mobile handset. Here is the list:https://sfl.sprintpcs.com/finder-sprint-family/phoneList.htm

Sprint Locator can only find phones that are in their coverage area and that are turned on.

So, if you are tracked (once you grant consent to be tracked during registration) you will received a text message informing that the parent phone is asking for your location info.

Hope this helps…

Unless you already have something in the phone that you can track, uh… I don’t think that will work.

Unless you have a tracker built in the phone already how would this work? Hope you have insurance. Next time, buy the insurance. Very cheap and worth it.

U may as well go buy a new one, chances are slim to finding it..Some one else have all ready found it and may try and connect its network, failing to do so they will just throw it away..I know, my cousin has found four the last three months

Just keep calling someone may answer it.

Unless it came with a tracker then you are out of luck. At this point, be sure and call your phone provider to stop your service until you can get a new phone and restart under another number.
