Does anyone know if the Helio ocean cell phone can be used threw T-Mobile instead of Cricket?
I’m looking into buying a Helio Ocean but seeing as i have a 2 year contract with t-mobile that kinda makes it impossible. So i need to know if there is any possible way to use it as a T-Mobile phone???

I believe Cricket is a CDMA company, that means their phones don’t use SIM cards. To use a different provider’s phone with your T-Mobile account, it needs to be a GSM phone – that means it takes a SIM card, and you need to be able to put your T-Mobile SIM in it. It also needs to be unlocked, that is, not locked for use on another provider’s network.
What do you think? Answer below!
Has anyone had any experience with this? Do I remove the Sim card from the old phone and insert it into the new one? Do I have to contact T-mobile to make the switch?

I dint have a sim card cause my cell phone was so old but when I bout my new phone I had to buy the plan with it, You actually save money doing that.

I’m pretty sure T-Mobile has to do it, although I am not entirely sure. I would recomend waiting until your contract is up then just renewing it because you can get a brand new phone for free. Thats what Im doing in a month when my contract is up.

T-Mobile uses Sim cards.
Just make sure the phone you buy is “Unlocked” and uses Sim Cards. Then you can just slap your sim card into it and away you go.
if T-Mobile doesn’t support the exact model of the phone, you may lose some of the cool features of the phone though, but it will still work.
If the phone you buy is “Locked” it won’t work, and trying to Unlock a phone can be tricky and you can trash the phone trying it. best bet is to buy an unlocked one, its worth the small amount of extra $

Just change the sim card assuming you bought a t-mobile compatible phone.

G1 users have been waiting a long time to upgrade. Is this the upgrade they have been waiting for? Hardware The G2′s design is a definite improvement over the G1. Instead of the plastic feel this has a much more solid feel and mix of metal and solid plastic and is much thinner and lighter than the previous G1. The unique feature to the G2 is the Z-Hinge that “pops up” to show the 4 row QWERTY keyboard below. The hinge works well and pops into place solid. Now if in the future they could get not only a pop up but tilt s well like with the Touch Pro 2. The keyboard works works well but will take some getting used to. The keys are spaced out pretty well and raised well but I do wish they didn’t waste the space with the special custom keys and also add another row to give the numbers its own row. The backlight on the keyboard is just bright enough to see in the dark and isn’t over bright. Overall the keyboard is good with a few minor issues and will take some getting used to. The 3.7 Inch screen is nice and bright with a good 480 x 800 resolution and a capacitive touch screen that is responsive and smooth. Below the screen you have 4 touch sensitive buttons that give the front of a phone a Nexus One look. Below that you have a touch sensitive track button that is similar to what you see on …
