Not really a question but comment but has this happened to you?

My cell phone broke, it was still usable but the silver piece that has the numbers on it kept coming off. I have insurance so I knew I could get a new phone. I have the extended warranty policy through Verizon. I went to the store yesterday and got a new phone. I was so stunned when I saw this and I just couldn’t believe it. She got a new phone for me went to the sales floor rach (which was right in front of me). Pick up a battery, put the new battery in my new phone. Took my old battery and put it in the new batteries package. Then snapped it back up and put it on the shelf. I was just amazed at what I saw. I asked her what she just did and she admitted it but said that cell phone batteries last and last and they can resell them. I’m like if they last and last why didn’t you put my old battery (that I’ve used for over a year) back in my new phone. She said she can’t do that.

Just thought I’d caution you if you are going to purchase a new phone battery.

I haven’t heard of that before, but a friend have experienced it with computer parts. He was building a new computer and the guy at the store offered him to buy parts for a “better” prize, claiming that the boxes had been opened (though the parts had never been used) and that’s why they were sold cheep. My friend looked at the parts and could clearly see that they had been used, there was scratches and marks all over them so the person handling them had not even bothered to be careful with them. Needless to say, we all now do our computer business at another store.

I can understand why she had to put a new battery in the new phone, but putting the old one in a box to be sold as new… no way that can be right.

ok, so in america i saw this amazing cell phone called the alias, it is a dual hinge phone with a qwerty keyboard. i really liked it but it kind of looks like an older phone and doesnt have a very good battery life or camera or internet.
i was wondering if there was a cell phone with a similar style that i could get in the UK or a better phone with cool features/looks cool? also, the Sanyo – Incognito Mobile Phone – Black (Sprint) looks amazing, is there a phone like this for sale in the UK?
