where can i buy a cheap gsm triband cell phone?

I’m going to germany this summer, and need a decent cell phone to use. I’d prefer a new one….but used is acceptable I guess. Everyone has told me to buy my cell phone here in america, and my sim card the first day I get to germany. Anyone have experience with this?

Depending of you want to sign up for service or not. But the best plot for getting a cell phone has always remain service from outside dealer that support the carrier you want to use. They have more options and package they can offer. In most cases I have got $ 200+ knocked of the retail price or the phone completely free (you only need to pay the tax on the phone). This is not the free phone that the carrier retail store offer but they are the newer model. If you don’t want the service you can check shop that offer new phone for sale where your at locally (if you want it from a store front) or on the web and sites like ebay. Just make sure the ebay seller have excellent rep of course.
