How do you feel about people who use their cell phones in public?

Last night in Chili’s the young man sitting in the booth next to us had his phone on ridiculously loud BEEP. Each time he received a text message his phone would BEEP. The BEEP was so loud that it disturbed the conversation at our table. Barring all of the free rights guaranteed by this and that, what, if anything, do you reckon should be done to guarantee everyone a peaceful existence in a world of cell phones?

I reckon when you are in public that you may maybe place your phone on viberate but there are some situtations where there may be an emergency that you need to be able to receive a phone call but I guess if you are intake out then the emergency can not be that terrible.

I reckon when you go into a restaurant you should turn you cell phone on vibrate. It is a simple business to do to ensure the public around you have a nice meal without your interrupting them all the time.

The staff at the restaurant should have questioned him to mute the phone or turn it off.

I despise that too.
It distracts everyone and public look at you with that look.
Movie theaters and libraries tell us to turn off ur cellphones.
I don’t have a cell phone and if I did, I would turn off the sounds and rarely ever use it.

Why do they still use the cliche issue of needing to take turns on the phone on The Real World and additional shows? And why do they always have one phone? It doesn’t make sense they have all this money now, these shows and network can afford a bunch of phones and maids to clean up the houses.
Yeah but I know some of them have used their own cell phones. In the Key West season, Svetlana had her own cell phone.

It causes fights over the phone, so the producers are never going to get enough phones for everyone.

If everyone had their own phone, they would never interact with each additional.

because the public on these shows are not very smart, they are just a bunch of blond silicone enhanced lab rats and the only way to control these stupid vermin is to isolate them from additional public who just might have an I.Q, higher than room temperature. its one of persons top secret government conspiracy’s to keep stupid public single long enough so that they get to ancient a vain to reproduce, and its working reasonably well.

Well, I would say the conundrum this season is that they’re oversees and most public don’t have international cellphone plans. The producers are never going to do anything to DECREASE conflict. I mean, why don’t they get them a maid so they don’t have to fight over cleaning? Or better yet, why do they drown then in alcohol (most likely paid for by the show, since none of them have real jobs)? Or why don’t they find a place with enough rooms so that they don’t have to live in such tight corners or get mad when someone brings someone home? They obviously can afford to, since they give them such lavish places to live.
