Geography Trivia!?

Geography Trivia!?

Ok here is my daily trivia for you! (Note: This can be anywhere in the world)

This remote body of water (made by a dam) and surrounded by rugged tree-covered mountains, is really located within a modern, progressive country. Regardless, if you’re in the mood to explore, expect no modern services here as primitive situation describe it best; cell phone signals are flat, electrical outlets are few and far between, and all visitors (if they can get here at all) must remove their own garbage when they depart.

Excellent Luck!

This is the first chapter and all I got so far. Should I continue writing or go on to a different profession? Honest opinions please!

"I am sorry! Can't you get that through your head, you selfish, ignorant jerk!"
"Don't you trust me?" he whispered.
"Give me one reason why I should."
He was silent.
"That's what I thought. We're through." My voice sounded surer than I felt.
I turned around as quick as I may maybe, but not before I saw a single tear roll down his right cheek.
"Kate–" he heard him manage between sobs, "Don't place–"
But I was already running, as quick as I may maybe, as long as I was away from him. Every part of me wanted to run back to him and jump into his arms, saying over and over that it's okay, I forgive you, anything to stop his suffering. But I couldn't. Seeing him with Vanessa had hurt. A lot. I couldn't get out of bed for weeks, couldn't speak, couldn't see through my blurry mess of tears. Images of him holding Vanessa and caressing every part of her body, him moaning with pleasure, flashed through my mind…
I had to stop. My rugged breathing was impossible to control, and I may maybe hardly see a damn business through my tears. I sat down on the warm, damp grass, and place my head between my knees. I concentrated on my breathing and nothing else. Breathe in and breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. In and out. In and out.
"Katie?"
I looked up, and as soon as I recognized Ben, I hurled into the safety of his arms and broke into tearless sobs.
"Ben, is everything all–oh, dear, is she okay?" I heard Emily, Ben's mom, say, her voice concerned.
"I…I don't know," said Ben, sounding troubled, "She seems…upset."
I let slip a very repellent snort at the understatement.
Ben looked at me and said, "You look like crap.
I grumbled something incoherent.
"Ben, go ahead and take her to the couch," said Emily, then she questioned me, "Would you like some iced tea, dear?"
"That would be nice." I may maybe only manage a weak whisper.
Emily smiled and patted my arm before rushing inside to make me some tea.
I reckon I must have drifted off, because before I knew it, I was laying on Ben's couch with a cold washcloth over my forehead and a glass of iced tea on the countertop. I struggled to sit up, and Ben was there in a second, helping me.
"Are you okay?" he questioned.
"I reckon so," I answered, not wanting to tell him anything but the truth.
"What happened?"
I sighed at the thought of Ty.
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," he added quickly.
"No, no," I protested, "You should know."
He waited patiently while I got my thoughts collectively.
"I broke up with Ty because I saw him…touching Vanessa."
"Oh," he said, unsure how to respond.
"Here," said Emily while walking up to me, "I made you some toast."
"Thanks," I muttered politely, but I wasn't really hungry.
I sipped my tea, the cold drink helping me reckon honest, while Emily set down the plate with two slices of toast on it.
"You should probably call you're parents soon," said Emily.
"Oh. Right." Crap. Dad was probably filling out a missing report by now.
Emily handed me her cell phone. I took it, and dialed my home number. No answer.
"Huh," I said, "No answer. He always answers on the first ring…"
"Don't worry, hon, she probably just went out."
Huh. Maybe so. But without telling me? Ugh. Don't reckon about it. I worry too much. I knew just what I needed to ease the slight throbbing in the back of my throat.
"Emily?" I questioned when she was walking out the room.
"Yes, dear?" She had turned around to face me, her blond curls bouncing.
"May I use your shower?"
She smiled, and said, "Of course, Katie."
I nodded, then rushed off to the bathroom. I flung for myself in the shower only to come back out because I still had my clothes on. Figures.
I got back in the shower – no clothes – and turned on the hot water – as hot as it would go. You may maybe say I had more of a steam shower.
The hot water was perfect for soothing muscle aches, and gave me time to reckon. I didn't want to reckon about what just happened, but I knew I had to do it sometime, so might as well get it over with. So I just broke up with Ty. And for a excellent reason too. I mean, I saw Vanessa on top of him, and it wasn't like he was trying to get her off, so that "she kissed me" was crap. I mean, it might be right, but that would only work as an excuse if he tried to reject her. But I saw his arms around her, pulling her close…
Ugh. Just ugh. And it was so rude to bring up that he saw Brett kissing me. But I was trying to push him off, so it wasn't my fault. He should be the one to apologize for jumping to a conclusion before I had time to clarify. Hell, I went to Ty's house to tell him I loved him. When I walked up to his house, I had already seen Vanessa's car in the driveway. Oh, I had thought, Vanessa and him must be working on that project. I mean, they have been assigned partners for it. Everyone told me that I must be mis
Here’s the rest of Chapter 1:

Everyone told me that I must be miserable that their partners because Vanessa is technically a model, and what guy doesn't want to date a model? That's what they told me, but I didn't judge any of it. I trusted Ty, and knew he wouldn't try anything because he cares about me, and I really believed that. I sighed. I am so gullible.
"Katie?" I heard Ben call, "You nearly done?"
"Yeah!" I called back.
Ben. I sighed. I know he likes me, you know, more than a friend. He might even like me. But…I don't like him back. I don't know why, though. I mean, he's perfect in everyway. He's really smart, the star player on the soccer team, and the cutest smile you may maybe ever see. He has some sort of glow about him. I know that sounds unpleasant, but there's no additional way to describe it. Ben makes everyone pleased. Like when you walk in a room, and he's there, you can't help but smile. Ugh. Why can't I like him like every additional girl at school?
After I…
Here’s more:
…was done, I stepped out of the shower, and grabbed Emily's robe. I avoided the mirror completely, knowing I would go beserk when I saw for myself. I slowly stepped out into the hallway, and walked down to Ben's room. As expected, clothes were laid out neatly on his bed.
I sighed. He was so sweet. While I was putting on the super-cute top, my elbow hit a drawer behind me. I thought I heard something jiggle, and well, I got curious. I opened it up slowly and steadily, and my eyes widened at what I saw. A pistol. The last business I saw was my head meeting the dresser and everything went black.

"I…I don't know," said Ben, sounding troubled, "She seems…upset."
I let slip a very repellent snort at the understatement.

So did I. Anyway, the tale was very excellent. You’re excellent with dialogue, and you helped us see your characters (ie:"Yes, dear?" She had turned around to face me, her blond curls bouncing.). There’s just one tiny conundrum. Somewhere, you need to clarify why Ty likes you so much as to start crying when you place. Admissibly, it was laughable when he started crying, not to mention unbelieveable. It doesn’t have to be here, this is fine the way it is. Let’s just say I didn’t sigh, press the back button, and find a better writer. You’re very excellent.
