What type of cell phone for London?

I am going to London in a few weeks and am looking for a phone to use for a week. I am currently with Sprint, and need a phone that works in London to keep in contact with my party when we tear up, and to make some calls back to the USA. I would also like GPS, so we can enter food/places etc. But, I was just going to place a garmin map of London on my GPS and bring it with me if it is cheaper.

So I need a phone that works for 1 week in London for the cheapest way possible. Calls to the USA can be avoided etc if need be…just whatever is the cheapest. Any input would be fantastic. Thank you in advance.
*obviously don’t care about Sprint etc…just something cheap for 1 week…

Do you want the phone to be Sprint or you just want a cheap phone that will work in London with their Prepaid ? I reckon you should get Nokia 2720, it’s cheap like $ 40 and will work fine with UK SIM. I reckon you should just bring your Garmin GPS.

The Orange San Francisco is £99 and will do everything you need including GPS/Google Maps. You won’t find much cheaper than that even if a really basic phone without GPS can be picked up for under £10 and I assume you can get the maps for less than £89 so that might work out best for you.

I would get the HTC, because it has the most features out of persons 3 phones, plus might have WiFi.
