Importing Cell phone charms/being sued? Can I get sued by parents or others for choking hazards?

I am going to be importing small plastic cell phone charms to the US for resale. The product is too small to place a long warning or any warning on it. Each charm is 15mm X 15mm with a 8 inch string to attach to your cell phone as a decoration. Can I get sued if a kid chokes on this even though its not a toy?

You can be sued for anything. Will it go anywhere? That’s questionable.

First, you’ll want to investigate doing business as a corporation in order to protect your own assets, that’s something you need officially authorized consultation on.

Second, you want to do a bit of research as to whether these charms are officially authorized to import and resell.

Honestly, you want real officially authorized advice, not just internet advice. Nothing too serious, just someone who can tell you with full backing what you should do to protect yourself.

You can get sued if a kid chokes. That is the law. If you sell something that has some unsafe/perilous component, you can be liable for any and all hazards.
Additionally, since I take upon yourself that this is a cheap item, you should also make sure that it has no lead in the manufacture. This can increase potential liability.

I have a blackberry curve phone and know that you cannot place any cell phone charms on it. Is there some kind of case or take in that has something that I can attach a cell phone charm too. I didn’t want something like a leather case. Delight if possible show me a picture of something I can possibly buy that I can attach a cell phone charm to for my blackberry curve phone. Thanks!

I’d check with HuetronWorld.com. They have a bunch of Blackberry accessories and cell phone charms. Possibly you could find something to fit your phone, or a device that could enable you to attach your own.
