Is it true that cell phone companies can see the text messages u send?

I heard from my friend that cell phone companies can see text messages that have writing, photos and videos? Are they allowed to do that?

yes. it helps cases if someone is harrassing or wont stop calling a number for in court.

they get a discount when they work for corporate within the company, but when they work for a 3rd party,, then no, usually not.

*thrid party companies (i.e. places that just take payments or resolve tech problems)
