How to accurate guess time without watch or cell phone or any other electronic devices?

Anyone know what public used to do back in days before we intevented the clock?
we used the sun or something?

Yes, they used the sun.
And hourglasses, later on. Etc, etc.

During summer months it is simple. Sun striaght up is high noon. You can guess just about what time it is from there. But the excellent ancient sun dial is the best method. Youn can google making a sun dial, there is lots of excellent info. Some of the info even tells how to set it up and calibrate it.

yes, use the position of the sun. rises in the east ,sets in the west. at it’s zenith it is noon. next make a sun dial clock, they work..a single stick in the ground can be a clock, but not on a overcast day…..and so it goes with clocks! you can always get them to tic, but it’s harder to get them to tock! lol

Before atomic clocks were invented, the standard for checking all clocks was astronomical time. You check the position of objects in the solar system against social class stars and get time accurate to the second (or better, depending on your observation capability) from anywhere on earth.

Well, here’s the business. I can record videos on my cell phone and go them onto my computer to store but I don’t currently have any programs that I can watch the videos on my computer with…. any thoughts? Maybe a program that I can download… also, I have a Nokia slider, if that information is needed….

You need a record converter software to help you convert record. Just search such record converter on http://www.google.com/.
